Welcome 2008!

Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce has been working hard to improve the level of service and support for you and your business over the past few years.

Our office and community information center, located at 159 West Pulaski Street, continues to serve as a great resource for you by providing residents, travelers, newcomers and potential businesses with walk-in, personal information about the Pulaski area. We refer only chamber member businesses to these customers. We provide a brochure rack with area information and maps.

We have two brochure racks available at highway locations for advertisement purposes, we have a Welcome Program that gets your business information into the hands of people new to our area, member email updates go out once a month with regular mailings of upcoming events hosted by your Pulaski Area Chamber and sponsored by our local businesses.

Our Village is continuing its development of the new strip mall. The  Mountain Bay Plaza, at the corner of Hwy 32 and Crest Drive features Vern's Hardware as the anchor store.  Joining Vern's is Sound Check, Meridian Hair Salon, Zimm's and Associates Realty, Patriot Mortgage Services, Figaro's Pizza & Subs, Clean & Brite Laundry, Sun Touch Tanning and Carrot Coffee and Gifts.

For more information on this project, you may call Al Morin at 920-680-2878.

Keith Chambers, our Village President, has reported that the Village of Pulaski, with the assistance of the Brown County Planning Commission, is beginning the process of updating Pulaski's comprehensive plan.  The comprehensive plan will guide how the Village develops and redevelops over the next twenty years.
Why now?  Future decisions regarding the provision of services, transportation network, and use and reuse of the land in the Village will have to be consistent with the comprehensive plan to comply with the State's "Smart Growth" Law.
What is "Smart Growth"?  "Smart Growth" will be the guiding principle in developing the Village's comprehensive plan.  This concept was formalized by the State of Wisconsin when it passed the Comprehensive Planning Law, which requires all communities that have controls on the uses of land (zoning, land division regulations, etc.) to have a plan in place that meets the requirements of the law by 2010.
Throughout the planning process, check the Brown County Planning Commission web page at www.co.brown.wi.us/planning for updates.  Information will also be available at the library and at Village Hall during normal business hours.
If you have questions about the comprehensive plan, please feel free to call Aaron Schuette with the Brown County Planning Commission at 448-6480.
